Welcome
Welcome to the Red Rose Inn in Historic Bardstown, Kentucky. We are located downtown at 209 East Stephen Foster Avenue. The name came from the songwriter Stephen Collins Foster song “Ah, May The Red Rose Live Always”.
Come in and stay in our 1820 Late Victorian Style Bed & Breakfast. It is on the “National Register of Historic Places”. The Red Rose Inn has five decorative fireplaces. Master Craftsman Alexander Moore had a hand in designing and building some of the fireplaces for the Red Rose Inn. Moore was a well known craftsman that was involved in the building of Federal Hill, “My Old Kentucky Home”.
We have four beautiful large guest rooms with private baths. You can sip your coffee or cocktail on the back deck overlooking a large yard with Koi pond or on the front porch planning your visit. Once you settle in, you’re only steps away from our beautiful downtown and all it has to offer. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
Guest will be treated to a delicious homemade country breakfast as well as snacks, water or soft drinks. You won’t start your day hungry!
Start your visit at the Old Courthouse, the Visitor Center. They can help you plan your visit to attractions nearby and directions. There is plenty to do in “The Most Beautiful Small Town In America” voted by Rand McNally and USA Today. Check out My Old Kentucky Home State Park to watch “The Sun Shine Bright On My Old Kentucky Home”. You can explore many distilleries in and near the Bourbon Capital of the World. There are Churchill Downs and Keeneland for the thoroughbred horse racing fans nearby and several historic churches to tour Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, Nazareth Campus and the Abbey of Gethsemani. Or you all can just hang out and enjoy our southern charm.

Our Rooms
All of our spacious rooms include a ceiling fan, plenty of garment storage, and comfortable seating. Each room has toiletries, cable TV, WIFI, alarm clock with usb ports, blow dryer, and ice bucket.

About Us
We were both born and raised in Bardstown and are very proud of our community. Our two beautiful daughters have left the nest and are making us very proud of the path they are on. This new chapter of our lives is going to be an adventure and we hope to succeed in making our house guests relaxed and comfortable. Come and stay a spell.
